Privacy policy

Last updated: October 19, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Go Virtual LLC ("Go Virtual," "we," "us") collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information when you visit our website, request a diagnostic, email or call us, or otherwise interact with us (together, the "Services"). It also explains the privacy rights you may have and how to use them.

The short version: we collect the information you give us when you contact us, plus basic technical data our website platform (Shopify) collects to run and secure the site. We use it to respond to you and run our business. We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioral (targeted) advertising, and we do not use advertising pixels or third-party marketing apps.

When we no longer need personal information for the purposes above, we delete it or make it anonymous. We keep a record of privacy requests and how we handled them for 24 months, as California law requires.

How we use personal information

  • To respond to your enquiries and requests, and to schedule and hold calls.
  • To prepare diagnostics, proposals and contracts, and to provide our services if you become a client.
  • To send service and administrative messages, such as replies, scheduling details and invoices.
  • To operate, maintain, secure and improve our website.
  • To comply with legal obligations and to protect our rights, our clients and others.

We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not sell email lists or use your information to build advertising profiles.

How we disclose personal information

We disclose personal information only to service providers that help us run our business, under contracts that limit their use of it to providing services to us. In the past 12 months, these were:

  • Shopify, which hosts our website, processes our forms and customer accounts, and provides site security and analytics.
  • Our email and productivity provider, which delivers and stores the emails we send and receive.

We may also disclose personal information to professional advisers (such as lawyers and accountants), to a buyer or successor in a merger or sale of our business, or when required by law, court order or to protect anyone's safety.

We do not sell or share personal information

We have not sold or shared personal information in the past 12 months, and we do not sell or share it now. "Sell" and "share" are used as defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). We have no actual knowledge of selling or sharing the personal information of anyone under 16.

Even so, you can record an opt-out at any time on our Your Privacy Choices page, and we honor it if our practices ever change.

Cookies and similar technologies

Our website runs on Shopify, which uses cookies that are necessary for the site to work, keep it secure and remember your preferences, plus analytics cookies that report aggregate usage. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. You can learn about the cookies Shopify sets at shopify.com/legal/cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may not work properly without them.

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

We treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for that browser or device. If you are signed in to a customer account, we also apply it to that account. Our Your Privacy Choices page shows whether your opt-out has been recorded. Because there is no common standard for other "Do Not Track" signals, we do not respond to them, but we also do not track you across other websites.

Information we process for our clients

When we operate an ecommerce business for a client, we may handle that client's customer data on its behalf. In that role we act as a service provider or processor under a written agreement with the client, and the client's privacy policy governs that data. If you are a customer of one of our clients, please send privacy requests to that business; if you contact us, we will forward your request to them.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, including California and other U.S. states with consumer privacy laws, you may have the right to:

  • Know and access the personal information we have collected about you, including the categories, sources, purposes and recipients, and receive a copy in a portable format. You may ask for information collected more than 12 months ago.
  • Delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising. We do not do either, but you can still record an opt-out.
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect it, so there is nothing to limit.
  • Appeal our decision if we decline your request, by replying to our response within 60 days and asking us to reconsider.
  • Not be discriminated against for using any of these rights. We will not deny you services, charge different prices or provide a different quality of service because you made a request.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have rights under data protection law, including to object to or restrict processing and to complain to your local data protection authority. We rely on our contract with you, our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries, and your consent where we ask for it, as our legal bases for processing.

How to make a privacy request

You can make a request in either of these ways:

Verification. To protect you, we confirm your identity before acting on a request to know, delete or correct. We match the email address you give us with our records and ask you to confirm the request from that address. For deletion or for copies of specific information, we may also ask for one more detail we already hold, such as your company name or the approximate date you contacted us. We use the information you provide only to verify and complete your request. You do not need an account to make a request. Opt-out requests do not require verification.

Authorized agents. Someone you authorize may make a request for you. We will ask the agent for your signed permission and may ask you to verify your identity with us directly, unless the agent holds a valid power of attorney.

Timing. We confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days. If we need more time, up to another 45 days, we will tell you why. We act on opt-out requests within 15 business days.

What deletion covers. When we approve a deletion request, we delete your information from our records and email, and we instruct Shopify to erase your personal data from our store. Shopify completes the erasure after a short processing period. We may keep information we are legally required to keep, or need to complete a transaction, prevent fraud or defend legal claims, and we will tell you if that applies.

California "Shine the Light"

We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.

Children

Our Services are for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including limiting access to the people who need it to do their jobs. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please avoid sending sensitive information by email.

International transfers

We are based in the United States. Our service providers may process personal information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for transfers.

Changes to this policy

We review this policy at least once a year and update it when our practices change. We will post any changes here and update the "Last updated" date above. If we make a material change, we will give notice on our website before it takes effect.
