About Commerce as a Service
What is Commerce as a Service?
It means an outside team operates your ecommerce function for you, either the whole division or specific parts of it, using its own people, processes and technology. You keep the brand, product, inventory and customer relationship. Go Virtual covers operations, merchandising, marketing, marketplaces, social commerce, customer experience, analytics and forecasting.
Do we have to outsource everything?
No. Many brands start with one to three modules, such as customer experience, TikTok Shop or analytics, and add more later. End-to-end is available when you want one team accountable for the full P&L.
Can you work alongside our in-house team or existing agencies?
Yes. We regularly work with internal teams and keep agencies that are performing. Part of the diagnostic is recommending which vendors to keep, consolidate or replace.
Which platforms do you support?
Shopify and Shopify Plus are our core. We also support BigCommerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Adobe Commerce, plus Amazon, Walmart, Target Plus, TikTok Shop and major fashion marketplaces.
Pricing and the Growth Share
Why don't you publish full prices?
Every brand's scope differs by channels, catalog size, contact volume and modules. We publish starting points so you can budget, then confirm your base fee in writing after the diagnostic.
How is the Growth Share calculated?
We agree your trailing-12-month contribution margin baseline in writing. Each quarter, if your contribution margin rate is at or above the baseline rate, we earn 10% of contribution margin dollars above the baseline. If the rate falls, no Growth Share is due. See the pricing page for worked examples.
Is there a cap on the Growth Share?
Yes. In any contract year the Growth Share cannot exceed the base fees paid that year.
Do you mark up ad spend, software or shipping?
No. Media, software, 3PL and carrier costs are billed to you directly by the providers at cost.
What is the minimum term?
A 90-day initial term, then month-to-month with 30 days' notice.
What does the diagnostic cost?
Diagnostics start at $5,000 and are fully credited against your first three months if you engage.
Control, data and security
Who owns our accounts and data?
You do. Platforms, ad accounts, marketplace accounts, helpdesk, dashboards, creative and code stay in your name. We are granted access and return it when we part ways.
Do you ever buy or hold our inventory?
No. We do not purchase inventory or resell your products. You remain the seller of record.
What decisions will we still make?
You approve the annual plan and budget, promotion calendar and discount depth thresholds, pricing changes, policy changes, new vendors and any spend above limits you set.
How do you use AI with our customers?
Our CX Agent resolves routine questions such as order status and returns within your policies. Sensitive issues, exceptions and complaints are routed to people. Every AI conversation is logged, and you set which topics are human-only.
Getting started
How fast can you start?
Diagnostics usually begin within a week of the intro call. Onboarding typically takes three to four weeks, with the daily brief and customer service often live sooner.
What do you need from us?
Read-only access for the diagnostic, a point of contact, your brand guidelines and policies, and about two hours a week from a decision-maker during onboarding.
What if it does not work out?
After the initial term, give 30 days' notice. We hand over runbooks, dashboards, data models and access, and join a transition call with whoever takes over.
Still have questions?
Ask them on a 30-minute intro call with a senior operator.
